Before you hire one, have them come over to give an estimation on the costs of moving you after they have seen your things. Ask if they carry insurance in case your items get lost or broken. Packing up your items can be done by most storage and moving companies also. They charge more for this service but it may be worth it to you if you do not have the time to do it yourself. Inform the storage and moving company where you want your items put in your new house.
